You are getting to be a pro!!!!
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!
Finally finished the Carrera Vulcan see it here
Very nice! I like the look! Not used to no decals or stylish painting on the tubes but definitely cool.

Just added some upgrades to my hybrid bike -
Mavic X517 rims with Shimano XTR hubs
DT Swiss spokes laced in the front in snow-flake pattern, only managed to buy the spokes for the front rim as they need to be 3mm longer yet to do the rear
Continental 26x1.35 Sport Contact Slicks
Real 68x110 bottom bracket
Fred Salmon Alloy stem
Shimano STX/RC cranks
9 speed gear shifter with modified cog-set 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21 & 23T i stripped 3 cassettes to make this up.
Pretty! Snowflake is on my to-do-list, but at the moment I'd rather get / build some sensible wheels for my road bike... still: cool. Impractical and probably a pain to build, nevertheless: I need to do that!
Yea I am still envious of this project!

You could do the non-drive side snowflaked and the drive side cross three. Could work as most of the stress is on the drive side (due to dish)...
I did a 2 lead 2 trail last year, it looks a bit strange but the difference to a "normal" pattern is hard to spot. Probably 3-3 would be more obvious. I'll get a new rim + hub to build a snowflake, I still have a set of spokes from an older front wheel sitting around that I could use for that...
This is my old Marin Nail Trail. Polished and converted to S/S. The original bike is also posted on this site titled Old Skool Marin Work Horse so the difference can be compared.
Man O man! You are doing some Wicked bike work!
many thanks to you and all others for their comments and encouraging words.
this is a Giant CRS 2.0 which is next in line for some detailing over the next 2 weeks.
Stripped of its paint. Will be sanded and polished and fitted up by Friday.
