Just did this one for my mate. Its a Radford MTB frame. I'd nto heard about that make until he brought it to me.

The Giant Box has been sitting around in my shed so I decided to give it a makeover. Almost completed only crank and rear derailleur to go on.

thanks Bill. having money is good and i really start need to be making some. my problem is, that i dont like selling my stuff, because when i have tried, i dont think people realize the work that goes into polishing aluminum to make it look like chrome. i need to start selling out stuff because i am running out of space and my wife is 'talking'. Every time i do a piece i think i'm gonna sell it and then when its done i look at it and think not. i'm currently polishing the MG frame.

Giant re-born

I just picked up this Giant Box One but this one has rear suspension, so its; like a big brother to the hard tail.

Bought these for 99p on Ebay. When I received them, my wife said they look like junk. I'm sure I saved them from the junk yard.

MG frame finally polished. Also polished the Mavic wheels.

Thanks mate I'll do that one but I am currently looking for a front suspension but good ones like the Marzocchi are not cheap. I have everything ready to fit up the MG so look out for that next.

MG frame fully built up. Have only ridden it in the back yard but not taken out on the road yet. It weighed in at 7.9kgs with carbon seatpost, handlebar and stem but I have since replaced them with aluminum parts.
I feel exceptionally proud of the old skool / retro Araya rims with XT hubs because they are so rare.

To think those company's go to a lot of trouble to design the logo's and paint. Then the expense of painting and attaching those decals...That really does look awesome. Do you think you would have bought a bike on the showroom floor with no paint and no decals? Just chrome? I wonder..

Hu thanks for appreciating. I would have bought a bike without paint, decals and brand. The only components with names on them are the hubs and the tyres. I chose to leave the hubs because they are really old skool and nos and the white lettering on the tyres i would eventually blacken out. My personal feelings - i dont feel i should pay hundreds or thousands of pounds for a bike because of its name and then advertise it for free by riding around on it and telling everyone, 'its a ....................'. These companies are giving away bikes to 'celebrities' who could afford to buy but you and i must pay when we could barely afford it. My moto is - just get the frame and it could be built up into a nice bike. All my bikes started life as bare frames. Sorry about the rant but branding brings out the monster in me.
