I remember being late to the game with getting a bike. But when I got it, I was so excited and rode it up and down my street for hours! I had the basket, the bell, and the pokemon card stuck in the wheel for a cool sound effect.

My first bicycle had a banana seat and high handle bars. That is all I can remember it has been 45 years.

I was 3 years old and had a shiny red tricycle that got stolen a year later.

I only remember the red and white wicker basket on the front of my first bike.

I got a tricycle when I was 2. It was blue and had space where a buddy could stand on the back frame. I named it Norman, after the host of This Old House, probably because that's what I was watching with my Dad at the time!

@MoreCreative, I loved those cards stuck in the wheel for that cool sound. I still see it sometimes when I’m riding in the countryside, and that sound brings me back to my childhood, when my friends rode bikes with cards in the spokes.

I’m not sure how many kids nowadays get to enjoy their formative years like that..:-(

This is my first real road bike, I don't have pictures of my kid stuff. It's a 77 Raleigh Competition GS that had Campy GS derailleurs, but I upgraded it to Nuova Record because the GS never shifted well. I replaced the handlebar tape with Brooks leather; I just need to buy a new Brooks Swallow saddle to match the tape. I didn't ride it too much because of commitments to the government, then when that ended I wanted a lighter weight bike, so the Raleigh was put in storage, the condition of this bike is excellent.

My first bike was a little blue bike with training wheels. I remember the day my Dad took the training wheels off that bike and I rode it independently for the first time. It was so exciting.
