In October, let's look back at some good old biking memories.

What is the story of your first bicycle? If you have a photo of it, feel free to share!

My first bike was a pink banana seat bike. I wish I had a pic!

I remember how excited I was at the age of 8 and Santa brought me one!

I know I had smaller bikes with training wheels and tricycles and the such. But the one I remember was my big boy bicycle, with two wheels, and off road tires that I could ride up and down the street but also short cut through the yard. It was awesome. It was blue.

My first bike was an electric blue Schwinn and it was beautiful! It was my best friend on many crazy adventures in the 1970s. I got it for Christmas and it was the only electric blue one in my neighborhood, so I was something special when I cruised around on it. Smile

However, my older brother "borrowed" it one time and was then hit by a car while he was on it. He wasn't hurt, but the bike was destroyed!

My parents got me another bike, but it was a gray boring one, and not as slick. But a fun bike nonetheless!

My first bike that i have memories of was a light pink Stingray. I would ride that bike barefoot up & down our bumpy street in Redondo Beach until my mom made me come inside .

It was a 90's Chrome BMX Redline, something like this, except it had clear grips and one of those ruthless bare white plastic GT seats.

My folks bought me a used 24" girls bike for my October birthday. Learned to ride on that. One of the things I learned is do not look where you don't want to go. I did and crashed into the side of the barn. For Christmas, I got a brand new red 26" boy's bike from the Coast to Coast store. No idea who made it, just a basic balloon tired one speed cruiser.

I don't remember what my first bike was, and I didn't even ride it a few times because it was stolen the day after I bought it! Damn bike thieves!

My first real bike (bought for me) was a 21-speed MTB with the label Classic which got stolen almost 20 years ago Sad It had 26" wheels and a Shimano groupset. Meanwhile, my sister got Classic Magnum, a yellow 18-speed MTB with a rigid fork. Not sure about the origin of these bikes. The brand might have come from the UK, but it hasn't been an easy search on Google. Great memories.

If I'm going waay back - my first tricycle was a powder pink Powder puff tricycle. I moved on up and got a Mickey Mouse tricycle. From there I got around on a Columbia Blue Angel banana seat bike with blue clouds on the seat. That bike was my everything. I was attached to that bike for years and was terribly upset when I outgrew it.

My first bike was a Bright yellow BMX and I could not wait to ride it. So I was going back and forth on the front porch. Suddenly I decided that was not enough so I jumped off the front porch right into 24" of snow. My Mom was not happy. I thought it was so cool.

It was an old big third-hand "womens" bike. Steel Frame, Single Speed, Coaster Brakes. I think it weighed as much as I did.

My 1st 10-speed bicycle was a yellow Schwinn! Before that, I remember a Radio Flyer tricycle and a Huffy Bike with a banana seat! Ahh, the good ole' days!!!

My first bike was not new but had been lovingly refurbished by my Dad with fresh paint, streamers, and a radio mounted to the handlebars! I don't remember the brand of bike, only the wonderful fun memories with that bike!

First bike I bought for myself was a Schwinn Super LeTour when I was 18 (before that it was hand-me down Schwinns from my older siblings). Still have it and use it today.
