Size 48 handlebars?

Anyone know where I can get some good quality 48 size handlebars? and/or have some good recommendations for some nice wide handlebars? I've got really wide shoulders, but finding 48's has been tough.

The main thing about sizing is I never know if it's to the outside of the bars or center to center. Sometimes shops state whether it's C-C or outside which helps.

The usual max' size = 46 cms.

Ok when you say center to center I am at loss? Here is a little diagram with the arrows. I am guessing you mean from the outer right side to center of the bar, and from the outer left side to the same center point? Again the actual diagram may not be perfectly centered lol.

Center to Center (C to C) is the center of the hole of one bar end to the center of the hole of the bar end.

I'm referring to "drop" bars. But as I say I'm not sure if the dimension should be C-C or outside edge to outside edge?

I assumed, maybe wrongly, that when "Thor" mentioned 48's that he was talking drops ??
(The only sizing I have come across for drops has always been stated in centimeters. It may be different in the USA?)

Unfortunately I tend to talk in general about bikes with drops as they are the most I come in contact with.

Oh ok, I see now . Thank you for explaining. I should have known that as well. Drops are really cool. As far as the measurement in cm it may be the same here in the US because Sheldon Brown lived in the us right? I know we use alot of Metric system for Bicycles. Again thanks for the help.

Well, with drop bars there's also the problem whether you are measuring the downward bend or the part that is (more or less) parallel to the ground. There are several types of drop bars (linked above)

I have never seen 48cm drop bars, and if I HAD, I'd have gotten some a few years ago!

46 (c-c) is the biggest I've seen; Salsa made 'em.
