Back in my prime (which my leaf has turned). I would average roughly 60 miles a day at least 4 or 5 days a week plus work 8 hr days for apprx. 40 weeks of the year. that would put me in the over 10,000 mile yr range of just commuting and riding for fun. never really thought much about it til I read this post asking. it is just the way it was for me anyways. No comparison today but can still get around the block better than the average person I suppose. My work commute was 15 miles each way, work 8hrs or so and lay down an extra 20 miles in the evening. Just a normal week, never thought much of it.

My goal is to get at least 80 miles a week (I know, many of you get that in a day) but I work lots of hours, and I try to make time for other sports too (like surfing and paddleboarding). So I get around 4000 miles a year, on my bikes, more or less. I also run at least 10 miles a week, and do a serious daily yoga practice.

Still haven't figured out my yearly total (not tracking on any devices) since I ride so spuriously due to work schedule. I did 40 miles on Friday, and 40 miles on Saturday, but Monday just a quick 13 miles (albeit directly into 13-15 mph wind). I'm just trying to keep a solid 50-75 miles per week going, but daily plans always change and I keep getting weeks where I don't even do 20 miles.

Hope everyone is able to get out riding now that the northern weather is improving. My Saturday ride (in N Florida) was done at about 55 degrees F, with a solid 15 mph wind and gusts at 20 mph causing me to have to lean into it to stay upright. Not what I would call the first day of Spring weather for the area I'm in!

Started riding again in 2010 and was surprised to discovered bicycle GPS units in 2011.
Joined MAP My Ride, com - in 2011 and have ridden 779 times for 17,495.61 miles.

To warm to ride @ Sunrise for the moment, yesterday it was 90°F when I got up to check temperatures (32.22°C)... 60 more days and we can start riding again @ Sunrise, and maybe an occasional cool day will appears before mid September...

Have had a few injuries last few years, nothing comes easy, but I keep telling myself anything is possible!
Have a goal of 2021 miles this year, yet have ridden 683.2 miles in 2021.

I can't imagine cycling in Vegas. I was in Phoenix a few years back and the nighttime temp was still at 110 degrees at 11pm! Good on you to get out in the heat; Florida is about my heat limit, but humidity makes it hard to cool off unless you keep moving some air across the body. If anybody cares I'll be trying to do the Bobby Labonte ride in NC; still haven't decided on 50, 62, or 100 mile course, it might depend on the weather (and of course the ol' bod).

I average about 7000 miles a year (well, for the 7 months I ride outdoors). The rest of the time is on the indoor trainer.

600 miles last year. I start at a university this year so that may go way up as it is far from my home.

I bike most days of the year as my bike is my main transportation. I bus it on horrible weather days and sick days but I prefer getting exercise on my bike over any other mode of transportation.

Not nearly enough. I'm aiming to do it more regularly on a weekly basis.
