Single shock suspension forks
#1
Hi guys, what do you think about these single shock suspension forks (is that how you call them) and what are their pros/cons? I have not seen many of these in my life, but yesterday one hybrid bicycle stopped at the red light next to me with a very similar fork. I suppose that they're best suited for commuting with potential bumpy roads. Not really for touring, eh?

I can't even find any information on such a fork. Perhaps it's so new it hasn't made the search engines, yet. You didn't say what kind of bike you might use them on. All the suspension forks I find are for mountain bikes. I was hoping to find a review but I don't see any.
If I knew how to ride a bike properly, I'd do it every time.

These mostly filter out the roughness of the pavement. Going up a few mm in tyre width and lowering the pressure should give you similar results. Plus a rigid fork is much lighter...

Urban commuting with occasional light off-road through woods. I am not sure about such fork and its worth, @"Joe_W" has a good point about tire width & lower pressure.
