Chain skip
#1
My old bike ('93 Cannondale road bike) which I still like and use for indoor training, riding in icky weather, etc. is broken and I can't fix it. The chain skips under load and I have replaced the cassette, chain, and entire crankset with new stuff. Same skip. That leaves the rear hub (Hugi circa '97) or the rear derailleur (105 original equipment). What should I do?
TIA

If you've replaced all of those things then it has to be the freehub body. Try removing the cassette and turning the freehub back and forth to see if it misses a tooth or is gritty.
