Inflated tube dislodges tyre - what's happening?
#1
Hi I have a problem with my daughters's bike. When you inflate the tyre, all looks okay, but when she rides it, the tyre gets dislodged and the inflated tube starts popping out.

It's a relatively new bike, nothing damaged, what's happening?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

I would suggest you click on the link "How to fix a flat tire" and read through the section about seating and inflating the tire. Got to get that bead seated properly as well making sure the innertube is in a proper alignment.

Thanks! I'm used to a kind of "point and shoot" action when re-inflating the tyre, maybe I need to take a closer look as you say.

Also look along the rim walls for a bend that might cause the seating of the tire to open up a little bit.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

Hi, could it be that the tube has pinched and bulges a bit?

After checking the rim and rim tape for damage/imperfections the other thing that could be wrong is the tyre size (or tire Wink ).
If its a new bike then really it should have the correct tyre size but here is a sheldonbrown.com article in case there are doubts:
