Just completed a fresh'n up on my 1995 GT RTS 2. Existing 8 speed Hyperglide in great shape on the rear, Shimano XTR M925 crank set replaced center ring with good used part (impossible to find new) and a new Shimano IG 8 speed chain. Everything went great. Took a ride and when I am in the center ring up front and the large ring in the rear the chain skips. Does anyone know what might cause this?
how about a pic from the rear with the chain on the big in back and the middle up front, and a closeup side shot straight down from above, and one from the side with the chain off the big cog in back so I can look at the shape of the teeth.
What rear cluster do have on it right now? i.e. brand and model

1FJEF,[/align] Is there a question there
I think he was telling me that you have, a shimano hyperglide cassette, but forgot to tell me what model i.e. Hg-30, hg 40, 70,90, or xtr. so ask him what you have exactly and let me know. and get the pics for me to look at too.
If you are using XTR and decide you want to replace it let me know. I am sure I have a new old stock one hidden somewhere

How many teeth on the middle ring in the front? As pain killer asked some pictures up close would be helpful too. Nice GT too
