Slipping Chain Again!
#1
Sorry for starting a new slipping chain thread but cant find a thread with similar circumstances as mine

Have just replaced cassette and chain went from 12-25 to 12-27 cassette. Everything is fine untill I shift to small chainring. If I pedal normally there isn't a problem but if I put pressure through the pedal the chain slips, regardless of what gear am In on the cassette. The problem only occurs on small chainring.

The teeth on the small chainring are fine and not bent. The jockey wheels could do with being replaced but cant see how they would cause this issue.

Pretty sure I got the chain length correct when I changed it and the slipping occurs frequently rather than every 4 revolutions which may eliminate a stiff link.

Anyone recommend a fix as struggling

appreciate any thoughts!

Bizarre, replaced the jockey wheels and took a lot of time reseting the gears and all is well. Cant work out how jockey wheels could cause the issue

Well done!

It's always worth having a bit of a tinker, it doesn't always work, but it's nice when it does. Smile
