Thinking of a Chrysler minivan, any good setups for hauling bikes inside ?
#1
My wife and I are doing more traveling so we were thinking about a mini van so we could have our bikes inside. Some people have said you can put them in cross wise with the front wheels removed and make a mounting rack tha locks the forks in place and still have lots or rear room for luggage etc.

Others have said put them in front to back in the rear and do not remove the wheels.. I'm wondering if I could fit all 4 of ours in that way, our 2 road bikes and our 2 hybrids ?

Like to see and hear some ideas of someone who has done this , Thank you

Four singles front to rear should fit easily if you remove the rearmost seat. That would leave you with a four seat vehicle hauling four bikes with lots of room left over for luggage.

i doubt it, the whole back is only 8ft thats with both the rear most seas and the second row folded into the floor, the bikes if you leave both wheels on are too long to just flod down the rear seats.
Again im looking for someone who has this set up and has done it, thx

well today I tried to get our 2 road bikes in my back seat of my buick lesabre and they fit fine with the front wheels off ! Now I have the whole trunk open for luggage and if I want i can put my hitch rack in and put our hybrids on that !

I was going to suggest one of those Reese Hitch type carriers if the Chrysler was equipped with one or your car. Or luggage on a reese type carrier. Roof mounts are an option too for atleast two of them. But I see you already got it figured out, congrats.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!
