Shimano rubber index grip
#1
I have a Shimano Revo shift mechanism. The rubber grip that is grasped to shift has deteriorated making it difficult to shift. Are replacements for these available?

Not sure what these are called exactly. Thanks.

easiest and cheapest to replace the whole shifter. You did not mention if your bike had a derailleur or internal gear hub (IGH); nor the number of gears on the back.

If you have a derailleur, one of these will work. (I prefer SRAM MRX to Shimano):

I have a seven gear derailleur.

I figured it would be easier to replace the whole shifter, and have ordered what you suggested from Amazon.

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated!

I purchased the Shimano set of shifters because I could not find the grip boots. The old shifter was working great so I just took one of the new grip boots and installed it on the old shifter. I will save the shifter until the old shifter stops shifting good.
