Well after some upgrading and 3-4 hundred miles on this:
Not selling it because it is a fantastic bike !
2) Newer Bontrager Slicks 700cX35
1) rear wheel trued
1) correct brake pads installed Type M Shimano
1) adjust clean lubricate all components
1) nice newer seat (mans) acquired from another Specialized Hard Rock that was to be scrapped. Course I took it in and in the middle of repairs..
1) used bike rack off a Columbia Bike home made brackets etc... racks are a must as I use bikes year round weather permitting..East Coast
This Cannondale bike handles like real thourghbred. Got beyond the looks ..firm ride, fast turns, shifts nice, great City Bike ...
Super lite for loading buses trains etc.
Bike is fast ..Have to concentrate riding this as very quick and unforgiving ..not like the Giant Cypress Hybrid I have..
Really prefer this over my tank the Giant now..But the Giant Cypress is a bulldozer . And I prefer suspended front end only for road defects .And I use it for deliveries of packages to the Post Office. So both are staying put in the stable..
Newer pics soon with the updates I did.
Only problem I have with it is 8th gear does not want to work in any combination. Think its beyond my expertise. Any combination 1-21 is fine.
Shift on the 8th cog chain falls off or locks up.Tried all kinds cable adjustments chain looks original.Think will need a pro to make this work right.
Thanks for the nice replys.
