Keeping up with a friend on a road bike haha. Kept up with him the whole way, just hurt a little afterwards. Oh I rode that on my Trek 3700.

It really depends. I live in a fairly hilly area, and I can usually average 17 mph when alone on my road bike rides. Fastest I've ever gone is 46 mph on some downhill stretches

That's a good point. Where I'm at, its mostly just flat. Maybe a tiny hill every 10-15 miles or so, but that's about it.

I average between 15 and 18 mph on the hybrid and 17 to 23 mph on the road bike when I really feel like working out. When I don't, my average speed (on both bikes) is between 14 and 16 mph and 10 mph when I ride with my wife in the neighborhood. In the area of Florida that I'm in, going downhill means going in one direction or the other of a bridge or overpass. It's pretty flat!

With dog running beside top I think is like 20.5mph (off road) normal on road 6.5mph.
Without dog top is 29mph flat ground road bike normal 15mph.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!
