What kind of Pants/Over Pants/Snow suit would you recommend (Manufacturer,Model)?
How warm does it keep you?
Do you feel constricted when wearing it?
Does it effect your riding experience/comfortableness?
Any other comments?
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!
I just wear waterproof trousers over my normal trousers on the way to Tec, had been using normal rubbery feel ones but sweat/ or condensation builds by under them (wear them through warmer months, dog poo fly!)
But got a pair of royal mail ones there great. the label in them calls them "storm leggings" so should be able to take a soaking and I think their breathable they don’t look are feel rubbery, the label says their 54%polyester 30% polyurethane 16% nylon don’t know how breathable or waterproof that means they are but suit me at the moment.
This morning's commute with a 9-degree F temp, I wore my Pearl Izumi Barrier tights. I started with a pair of Gore-tex over pants over them, but within 3 miles I was too warm and stopped to remove them. I'll be keeping them in my pack over the winter though, just in case I run into weather where I'll need them.
Gore Tex will guarantee to keep you dry, so I would only wear if it were raining or snowing.
GO RIDE...
