I have a trek mountain track bike with 26 x 2.10 tires but i am 53 years old and like riding the pave bike paths so i am looking for a road/street tire but i don't see any that size. What tire could replace that

You can use just about any thing you want go down to a 26x1.75 tire or any up to what ever size you want. I use a 26x1.75 tire on my touring bicycle I have the Surly LHT 52cm. Works for me.
My dad always told me a Sledge a matic can fix any thing.

Here are some that I have put on a bike and rode on.... http://www.amazon.com/Kenda-Bicycle-Blackwall-26-Inch-1-95-Inch/dp/B002DX1DWG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1282622447&sr=1-2 . Less rolling resistance then the MTB tires you probably have.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

read the tech info download here

you will find slicks or semi slicks, if you want to keep a bit of off-road capability, give a far superior ride on road.

Nashbar has lots of sales on , the tire that Bill suggested is good too. I found mountain bikes geometry and frames work better with tires 1.5 and up. 1.75 is a good size. Pick one with a continuous radius and not a center ridge one.

The so call transition tires are a mixed blessing, get a road tire if thats where you ride.

Cheap and durable are the Bell brand Kevlar cruiser tires at Walmart; size 26 x 1.75 will work.
