Changing Inner Tube
#1
Hello,

I have a Ritchey DS Pro rim with racing tyres (Continental Ultra Pro). Unfortunately I have a puncture. I cannot get the valve out. It is a long threadless valve and as I try to push it through I find that the tyre stops the valve from pushing all of the way through. (If the valve were shorter it would be easy to push through but because of the length this makes it difficult).

Does anybody have any tricks for getting these long valves out?

Thanks,

Nevica

Obviously you know how to change a tube. I pull all the inner tube out from opposite the valve which just leaves the tube held with the valve. Then I squeeze the tire over to one side at the valve point and that lets me push the valve out. Otherwise you will have to remove the tire at that point??
