Vuelta Zerolite Road Comp wheel set
#1
Vuelta Zerolite

How would these wheels be? I recently cracked the rim on my road bike. Weight doesn't really matter to me since I ride for fitness and training but would these be pretty decent/reliable? Also, I have 700x25c wheels so would these work? Thanks

Also, 7 speed cassettes needs a spacer so would this be available and my local bike shop?

If you search "Vuelta Zerolite review" there's a number of comments. Sounds like the are "decent for the price". I would think most shops would have the cassette spacer you need, but you never know. Note that these wheel have a 130mm rear axle and if you have a 7 spd, your frame is probably 126. Only 4mm difference, but you would have to spread the frame slightly to install the wheel. Not technically recommended on carbon/aluminum.

My frame is 130 but it has spacers to accommodate for the 7-speed. With the 30mm profile rim, would I need a presta valve longer than 38mm?

It depends on where those measurements come from exactly. If it leaves 8mm of valve stem showing it might give you trouble depending on your pump. But if the 30 includes the flange holding the tire, that would probably give you another cm of visible valve stem which is probably ok.

Hm... well I guess I'll have to get new tubes and I'll carry my left over 38mm tubes for fellow bikers who need em on the road. Thanks for your help! Gonna order them tonight.
