Hm only question is whether the frame is strong enough for the disc brake. The force acting on the frame is different than when mounting rim brakes.

i don't know how i feel about adding disc brakes to a frame that isn't made for it. the disc brakes put a lot of force on the frame. instead of buying the kit, i would just replace the frame and do it right.

Any suggestions where one could find a beach cruiser frame with disc mounts?

Hmm, that's interesting. I knew Brake Therapy made a floating brake arm mount for full suspension bikes, but I never realized they made one of them.

I sort of agree with "it's not got disc mounts therefore it's not necessarily strong enough," but for most bikes as long as you're not sticking 8" rotors and 4-piston hydraulics on I'm sure they'll be fine.
