Chain Lubrication

Hey, I just lubricated my chain with an oil called AT 5-2 Singer Oil, and now when I turn the pedals and make the rear wheel move, the sprocket area seems to sound wet. Is that usual, or did I put too much lube on?

BTW, can anyone tell me, if they've heard of the oil, if the oil I'm using is appropriate?

Check out Alex's video on how to clean and lubricate a chain. I have never heard of that chain oil. I use RockNRoll Gold chain oil here.

The oil you used is for sewing machines. I would go with Surly's advice and check out this video http://bikeride.com/chain-lubrication/
