Bicycle Tire Liner Size?
#1
Hello, I have a tube in my bicycle that reads: 700x35-40, 27x1-3/8. What size tire liner should I be looking to buy? I'm seeing exact specifications for some liners I'm looking to buy on Amazon, as well as 'Road Bike', 'Mountain Bike', etc. Any thoughts? Thanks!

You need to list the tire size, not the tube. You will probably need a red liner.

I'm guessing you have 700xthirtysomething tires. You want ones for that size or mountain bike. Don't get road bike liners, they will be too narrow.

I use STOP FLATS2 GOLD with the 35x700 tires on our tandem; and the 27 x 1 3/8 tires on my World Tourist.

Honestly I should use them, but I don't, I have some "Slime" liners. Depending on how you are using your bike and if you have "weight weeney" (term commonly referred to those cyclists who want their bicycle as light as possible mostly in grams) issues then find the lightest possible. OR if you do not care like many of us then go with the types Dave and Nigel suggested.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

Yep, gold makes more sense than red.

I have used the Slime brand liners - heavy, thick and sharp corners; only use with thorn resistant tubes, they will cut thin tubes.

Ok interesting, no wander they aren't all that popular nigel. Mine are still in their original packages. Just as I was saying never really used em yet, but make sure I have the thicker tubes.

and you may want to smooth the edges with 800 or 1000 grit sand paper
