I think he's just selling them for the hubs and spokes; they were not his wheels. He has no idea why someone cut into a $1000 wheelset. Also, the braking track has been cut into; no way to make them usable.

Mine as well take them apart. Even if they are light, you'll still get taxed on shipping for the box size needed.

He was just showing them to me for fun. He knew I was looking for some carbon Cosmics, but also knew I would not get them with that type of damage. I don't need hubs or spokes without the rims; I want a complete wheelset only since I have enough vintage stuff to build up already.

What a shame to have those wheels wasted like that. The individual who did that must of had a very good reason!
