Renewing chain crank
#1
Shocked
Hi folks,
I had the misfortune of being hit by a car the other day and obviously there was only one winner.
Despite my injuries the pedal on the chain sprocket side was bent like a dogs back leg.

I have ordered a new one and have removed the old one.

Is it straight forward enough to replace like for like,i have just received a torque allen key drive today for this.
Also i need to swap over the main sprockets as they are a diffeent size(couldn't find the exact one online)

Just hoping the bike frame isn't twisted after all this.
Bike is a boardman slr8.6

Any feedback appreciated

straight forward swap, however step one would have been to check the frame for square, wheels for bent/true, bars..etc

With the amount of force it took to bend the crank like that, let's hope it hasn't damaged the BB. And I agree with Painkiller about checking the frame. It took quite a bang.
If I knew how to ride a bike properly, I'd do it every time.
