Clicking and resistance when pedaling
#1
I recently went to a bike shop and got my cassette replaced. Since then, when I pedal, I can feel (and faintly hear) something clicking. I'm worried that I'm grinding the gears or something like that.

What might the problem be?

Thanks!

Might be adusting of the gear, if you had the gear wire replaced too it is very likely, they strech after a while. When you only change the cassette and chain, there might be some noises or slight unevenness in the old sprockets (drive where the pedals are). The new and the old parts need to get used to each other.

Sorry -- I'm new to bike repair. By "gear wire," do you mean the derailleur wire?

Sorry, my English could be better, I'm not that much of an expert either but I like to work on bikes. Yes, I mean the wire from the gear shifter to the derailleur.

I took it back to the shop, and the issue was that they replaced the cassette without replacing the chain. Since the chain was stretched out due to use, it didn't fit a new cassette. After they put on a new chain, it worked great.
