Hello @kate L hill , sorry to hear about your issues with Rad Rover5.

Do tell us what troubleshooting have you tried this far..

Here's what I found online. It's a lot of things to try..but one by one..:-) Wishing you the very best..

1. Check the Key Position
Sometimes the key can get bumped, or the battery gets jostled out of alignment.
Look at the key cylinder on the battery.
Ensure it is turned fully clockwise to the ON position.

2. Test the Battery Charge Independently
Press and hold the little rubber status button right next to the LED lights on the battery itself.
Do the lights light up?
If NO lights turn on: The battery is completely dead, or the 40-amp fuse inside the battery blew. Try plugging it into the charger. If the charger light stays solid green instead of turning red (charging), a fuse is likely blown.
If the lights DO turn on: The battery has power, meaning the issue is a connection between the battery and the motor/display.

3. Check the Main Connectors (The "Quick Fixes")
Turn the bike off, take the battery off, and check these three main plugs:
The Brake Cutoffs: Trace the wires coming out of your left and right brake levers. There are inline connectors there (usually red inside). If a brake lever is slightly stuck or a wire is pulled tight, the bike thinks you are braking and will completely cut all power. Unplug them and plug them back in.

The Display Connector: Trace the cable from your LCD screen down to the metal/plastic twist connector at the front of the bike. Untwist it, pull it straight apart (don't twist the pins!), make sure it's clean and dry, and line up the arrows to press it firmly back together.
The Battery Tray Connector: Check the large flat connector where the bottom of the battery slides into the bike frame. Look for any dirt, pebbles, or black burn marks (arcing).

4. Perform a Hard Reset
Take the battery completely off the bike.
Press and hold the Power/Mode button on the handlebars for 10 seconds (this drains any leftover electrical current from the system).
Put the battery back on, lock it to "ON", and try to power it up.
