Well, after deeming my KHS UltraSport unfixable due to the frame being bent in the rear (due to an accident), I had to find a replacement, so I just took delivery of a Marin Fairfax 2 hybrid. It rides okay, but I'll be changing some stuff on it. The hydraulic disc brakes are great, and the saddle is comfortable, at least for me.
However, the bald road-bike tires will be swapped out, with more of a gravel tire, the handgrips are uncomfortable and will be swapped. Also, I need to go from the stock 2x drivetrain to a 3x. I'm not getting the range I was out of my KHS, which was a 3x7 (the Marin is a 2x8). I need to be able to go to a lower gear than what the Marin is giving me, as there are quite a bit of hills here in northern VT.
