Custom Bike part manufacturing
#1
Hello, Not sure if I should post this in buying advice or repairs, but here we are.

I recently bought Schwinn cruiser an old one and I can't find the rear dropout bracket replacement. So I decided to try out a custom bike part manufacturer. Still waiting for my part, so if anyone has tried out a custom on demand manufacturer, please share your experience.

Most custom and reproduction parts made to order are cost prohibitive unless it is rare or needed for transportation/professional purposes, etc.. I have fabricated tools and parts from onhand material which saved me hundreds of dollars in the past; probably thousands in today's economy.

What is old? 1990s, 80s, 70s......?

Try the CABE for your parts. I do not know what you have, but that site is all about old schwinns. Put in a wanted listing, and search their sales listings. Not sure, but I assume fbook has more than one schwinn group selling parts.
