Second wheelset for ebike.
#1
Hi I'm getting a Ribble gravel ebike with the motor in the rear hub. Now Ribble bikes look like a normal racebikes, spart te the rear hub and a button on the top tube. I'm looking to get a second wheel set for it. A Hope wheelset which will not have a motor, as i plan use my bike without a motor on occasions. Is this a thing or is it just a waste.

Cheers

it would depend on matching of your rear spacing, also how many speeds. you have to be able to match the same setting for your high/low limit screws or it will be a pain in the ass as far as shifting quality is concerned. I am pretty sure it would be a challenge to pull off perfectly. Need more info as next you will have to deal with the brakes. example would be if you have rim brakes your braking surface must also match perfectly or that even becomes an issue if not using the exact rim as whats already there.

I'd say go for it as long as the drive train or cog system matches up with everything
