Great UK Cycle Camping Map, For E-Bikes, Too!

I posted this as a comment in another thread, but thought it merited its own standalone thread.

For anyone in the UK, the guy running the Cycle Camping UK Facebook group (and the contributors) are doing a fantastic job of compiling lists and a map of campsites in the UK that provide at least the basics needed by cycle tourists at an affordable rate. Extra consideration is given to the needs of e-bikes and anyone else that needs to charge a device.

It's a private group now (thanks a lot, spammers...) so you'll have to join the group (and Facebook, if you haven't already) but if you don't do Facebook, you can still access the Google Maps map.

Thanks, @enkei . This is do helpful. Last time I was in UK, I was trying to map out the National Parks, campgrounds and AONB ( Áreas of Natural Beauty) with hopes of finding facilites to bike camp at an affordable price.

Your post does exactly does that.

Btw, have you done a lot of cycle-touring in UK or Europe? And, have you used any facilities at the campgrounds? What's price a cyclist can expect to pay if he wants to pitch his tent and use the facilites like shower, washrooms?

I just have to find a way to *Star* and save this link..

Alas, my current hobby is "eventual bikepacking" LOL.

I was all set to embark on some tours this year, but life took over. Now the weather is horrid.

However, I am actually thinking of doing a winter tour.

*shiver*

Did a small ride today, including some MTB trails (not shown). Just horrible weather: dark, grey, wet, chilly. Ugh!

Is that an Apidura frame bag? Is it truly waterproof? I love their products, but they’re quite expensive. Right now, I am managing with "cheap" Moosetreks

This week, I was supposed to go up to a mountain settlement nestled around 13,000 feet before winter sets in, but I decided to come down to the warmer parts of the Himalayas. I’ll have to wait it out. So, I hear your *shivers*

Some years ago, I bikepacked in Denmark for a week at the end of December. It was cold and dark, but on the fourth day, I finally saw a bit of blue sky and felt as happy as a child. So, winter riding has it's own way of making us happy...after a few days of riding...

Yes, typical 'verdant' British countryside, though it's very flat around where I live, several hours by car or train from the Lake District.

Yes, it's a7.5L Apidura Expedition Full Frame Pack. I have yet to properly test the veracity of their claims regarding its waterproofing.
