New: Vitesse Signal Giveaway's Winner Announced

Fuji vs Schwinn
#1
Hello! I just joined this community and am hoping to get some advice on which bike to purchase.

I've been biking in my basement for a few years now and wanted to make a purchase of a used bike for some light riding. I found two bikes, similar in price and condition that I am deciding between. The first, a 1982 Fuji Monterey 10-speed. Bike is still in great shape and may only need the chain replaced. The second - a 1970 Schwinn 10-speed.

I know I'm leaving out a good amount of information, but wondering if the community has any 'hands down' advice on which one I should lean towards.

Thank you!
Robert

I agree unless the Schwinn happens to be a Paramount.

Between the 1982 Fuji Monterey and the 1970 Schwin, The Fuji Monterey is likely lighter and might be easier to maintain,

the Schwinn, being older, offers a classic, sturdy feel and a bit of vintage charm. Just check your fit and personal preference. Go for the Schwinn imo

I agree, the Fuji would be a far better bike then the Schwinn.
