What are your best tips for long rides?

I did 91 miles last week, and by the end, each hill kept getting harder and harder. But the worst part was that my shoulders ached terribly (probably from the weight training workouts I did 2 days before haha) but some of that might have been from taking my road bike to the gravel trails. Maybe I should have lowered my tire pressure a bit? I was riding tubeless 25s at 72PSI (I'm a lightweight).

Anyway - I would love your tips for endurance rides.

The best tip for a long ride is ride a recumbent or a trike.

@Frankly, love the " It only should take only 5 or 10 minutes to get back to normal and move on" comment. I agree with you and as long as we realize and accept this fact, we are set for the long run..ride..:-)

If I'm going to dso a century I try to ride the same or nearly the same distance the weekend before. Also organized century's generally have a lot of rest stops. It is good to use these but not to spend much time in them. Drink, nibble and move on, It only should take only 5 or 10 minutes to get back to normal and move on.

I almost can't remember doing my first century rides 30 years ago. Hydration was just a water bottles. Now I just like 1 bottle per 20 km pure electrolytes and a few gels every 20 minutes

I’ve found the best electric tricycle for adults over the past few days because I need a comfortable, stable ride for commuting and running errands. I read reviews on Consumer Reports, Electric Bike Report, and Bicycling Magazine, and they are marking these two as the best options:

YITAHOME 24 & 26 Inch Adult Tricycle, 1 & 7 Speed 3 Wheel Bikes
https://www.amazon.com/YITAHOME-Tricycle-Backrest-Baskets-Cruiser/dp/B0F248731L/?th=1

VEVOR Adult Tricycles Bike, 7 Speed Adult Trikes, 20 Inch Three-Wheeled Bicycles
https://www.amazon.com/VEVOR-Tricycles-Three-Wheeled-Bicycles-Adjustable/dp/B0CZDTB4H7

However, I’m having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs and need your expert advice. I plan to use it mainly for grocery runs, neighborhood trips, and light commuting. I’d like something with a comfortable seat, good range (at least 40 miles), and enough power to handle small hills.

Which one should I buy? Or is there another tricycle you’d recommend? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
