You can order bikes from manufacturers
#1
You can go to the alibaba website, and order bikes direct from manufacturers.

Below is one example. These bikes come in 26, 27.5 and 29 inch. If you order between 2 and 799 bikes, they cost $25. If you order between 800 and 1999 bikes, they cost $23. If you order 2000 or more bikes, they cost $20.

If bikes like these are shipped to the US, there is the shipping costs to the US, the wholesaler profit, the distribution costs within the US, and the retailer profit.

If these are sent to a distributor in a S E Asian country, then sent to a retailer, bikes like these may retail for around $100.

Anybody can go to the alibaba website and see for themselves.

I will mention:

If you buy a bike from a shop near where you are, and something is not right, you can easily go back to the shop, and resolve the issue.

If you don't live in China, and order a bike or bikes from China, and you get scammed, you may not be able to resolve the issue. You might lose your money.

There are, no doubt, some good companies selling things on the Alibaba website. There may also be people selling poor quality products, and scammers.

Come on ichitan, time to put up or shut up. I would never recommend to other people something I would not do myself. So time to get it on! We all look forward to your purchases and want to know first hand how awesome the bikes are. Thanks for the links.

I wouldn't trust these bikes more than a 10 minute ride. As someone who has previously bought such bikes and rode on different paths. They are simply not worth it. From the awful fit to the poor tires and plastic pedals nothing about them makes sense

Not for nothing but I would go to a site like that only to buy parts or accessories. Not an entire bike.

I am not surprised at those numbers and prices.

Take a look at China's graveyard of bikes
