I like this kickstand

I like this kickstand. I rescued it from an old bike being trashed, and modified it. The bike will stay upright in just about every situation, including when a decent load is put on the carrier rack.

I had a piece welded in the middle at the bottom, to make it wider.

Notice the brackets, so it is supported further back, and clears the derailleur.

Nice work, ichitan. I used to see these bike stands on a lot of older, single-speed bikes. And, they rarely failed at working the task they were designed to. Impressive work at making this work on a mountain bike. Truly creative thinking.

I think these kinds of stands are better suited compared to the single-sided. And, these work in almost all kinds of settings.
