Which bottom bracket do I need for this ?

Question
    Hi Smile

I’m converting my 2010 via nirone 7 bianchi Alu carb from campagnolo to shimano .

What bottom bracket will I need ?

I’ll be fitting shimano ultegra either a 6800 50/34 or possibly a gtx 48-31 crankset .

The bike has always had the stock bb the bike was shipped with in 2010.

Currently it has a veloce power torque 50/34 fitted which I need to replace.

The current bb doesn’t have any numbers or stamps on it I can see. I don’t know if this frame has Italian screw for the bb or not .

I messaged bianchi but they haven’t not. Answered .

Does anyone know the exact bb I need to fit for use with those shimano cranksets please ?

To fit that Shimano crank you'll need a Shimano Hollowtech II bottom bracket.

Such as BBRS500 or BBR60.

These road ones have the exact amount of measure integrated into the outboard cups and so they require no spacers when installing.

How do I know if I need Italian thread size or not ?

You would measure the bottom bracket shell and see if it was 70mm.

If so, you will also need an Italian specific Shimano road bottom bracket, such as SM-BB9100.
