Who Rode Tin Shack/Cook Creek?
#1
Photo
On Oct 2, I rode east on Foss road from the northern Oregon coast town of Manzanita. I made a right (south) on Tin Shack Road, climbed a few thousand feet, and took Cook Creek Road back down (west) to Foss. It sounds simple, but the poor mapping, poor road conditions, and extra time trapped me out there overnight. I had to hike-a-bike over gullies, wade across the Nehalem river, and climb over car-sized boulders. I saw that someone else had ridden the route on Strava global heatmap today. Does anyone know anything about these two roads or who would've ridden them? Please respond if you know anything! Thanks.
