It seems Low step frames have become popular in the past few years, lots of choices out there in this style. They are a great option for many reasons. Plus I think they just look good, for Men or women. The Liv brand is targeted to women however. I picked this one up for $75 to check it out and recondition it. It needed all the attention that most used bikes do, loose axle, worn chain, needed tune up..etc. In that sense I paid to much but not terrible either.
Perfect time for some upgrades along the way, such as losing the grip shifters, upgrading those and the rear derailluer. Also tossing on some new Avid V-brakes dressed with Shimano's Best cartridge brake pads, new cable/housing, Lockon grips, and clean, polish and tune. All said and done makes for a very nice ride at half the cost of a new one that would have lesser components. win win for those looking to save money and can be their own wrench. The only way to do it!
