Lefty fork by Cannondale
#1
Hi all. Anyone has experienced this odd looking fork? I mean biked with one or knows more etc
I've lately seen one kid passing by with Cannondale lefty in my area, two times past week. I know that lefty weighs much less than traditional forks and it sure looks unbalanced, but I'm still learning about the tech behind bikes so please spare me. Do mostly professional cyclists or racers use them?

I have one. They are very nice indeed. They are not unbalanced at all. They are fast and work well. Mine works as well as any fork I have ridden. That being said I am getting rid of it as I have moved on to Fat bikes and a Fuel ex.
Nobody ever said "I wish I would have gotten less of a bike!"

Oh I see Cannondale F29 1 in your description. Is that the bike from your profile photo? Lefty works must be more common for higher end bikes [fork itself more expensive], right? Cause I have not seen them around much.

If lefty "price VS value & benefits" would be worth it we would see more of them on the streets, no? Apparently these benefits are not overwhelmingly valuable to a regular mountain biker and it will stay as niche phenomenon. Lefty in its essence is super cool though!
