We have lost Tour of California for 2020 and US is left with zero World Tour cycling competitions which is sad :/
Organisers hope that it's just a hiatus and the race will come back in 2021. I also hope for that, Sagan has 17 stage wins there hehe

Digging up old threads. Tour of California will never come back, I suppose.
There's a spicy Reddit post about it with lots of doping references:

I've upvoted this comment:
"Honestly, the chance of a major stage race happening in the United States in the next 1-5 years is slim to none. A friend of mine was the technical and logistics director for the Tour of Utah and he says the expense of closing roads, insurance, and desire to keep roads open to cars at all times means there probably won't be a big race back in the US for a long time. Maybe if we can another big name American bike racer winning the TdF, or something, it could happen the but that's a big maybe. The reality is that road cycling in the USA has lost a lot of interest in the general public because it's really dangerous to ride on US roads, the road racing scene at the local level is really down to non-existent, gravel and MTB are up, up, up."
At least the Maryland Cycling Classic is on the UCI ProSeries list. Cancelled last year due to the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge ....

Yes, it was sad to see the ToC leave the calendar…
I used to attend the USA Pro Cycling Challenge back in the day, over 10 years ago. It was a 2.HC-category race but didn’t make it to its sixth edition. Rohan Dennis won the last edition, with two individual stage wins to his name. I don’t follow pro cycling as much as I used to, but it was hard to read the news about Dennis’s case…

pardon my ignorance, is this Tour the biggest one in the US? what are other tours that are worth the watch in the US? Who should I be looking out for or exciting to watch among the Pro Peloton?
