Road cranks in 86mm bottom bracket
#1
I recently picked up a Bombtrack Hook EXT frameset and I'm looking to move my SRAM Red eTap groupset over to it. I've been reading about bottom bracket standards, but this is my first time building up a bike from the frameset. I knew the bottom bracket was T47, but I didn't realize it would be so wide, and I'm not worried that my Red 50/34 GXP crankset's spindle isn't long enough. My plan was to pick up a White Industries T47 BB, but I could use some help to make sure I'm moving in the right direction.

Frameset: http://bombtrack.com/framesets/hook-ext-frameset/

Crankset: https://www.competitivecyclist.com/sram-red-22-gxp-crankset

Bottom Bracket: http://www.whiteind.com/t47

Questions:

1. Will that crankset fit that frameset?
2. If that bottom bracket would work, should I get internal or external? My previous BB was external, but I think it was 73mm wide.

Thanks!

good luck with your first project! it's always nice to see new people joining the "bike builders club" Smile that's a smooth, beautiful frame to work with!

crankset looks good, but i'd suggest looking into Wheels manufacturing internal BBs for a better fit, just a personal opinion.

please, keep us updated with photos of your project, i'm excited to see how you will build around this sturdy frame.
