Shimano Roller Brake Grease
#1
Hi

After seeing one of your videos I decided to go to my local shop and buy some bike-specific lubricant for my chain. The only one I found was "<a href="http://www.bikeparts.com/productinfo/Shimano-Roller-Brake-Grease-100gm-38346-82139.html" rel="nofollow">Shimano Roller Brake Grease</a>". It was cheap so I bought it. To be honest, I didn't notice the "roller brake grease" label until I arrived home, and I don't really know what that means.

Can I use it for my chain? What can I use it for? Did I lost my hard earned money?

Thanks for any help you can give in this topic.

The roller brake grease is specifically designed for lubricating the internal brake parts on Shimano Nexus hubs. I wouldn't recommend using it for anything else, especially not the chain (which requires oil not grease).

Here's some more info on lubricants:<br />

Thanks for the quick answer. I'll try to find some of the lubricant that you recommend in the tutorial.

It can be hard to find good stuff in Colombia...
