Lockrings & Crankset
#1
When purchasing a new crankset, would you get a new lockring, or would that have to be brought separately? As the lockring on my bike is damaged, though not budging. Only just realised this, (face palm)

Is this post related to your Bottom bracket post?

Yes, though its only a guess thats what it is, as half of the edge looks like its been hacked off. The undamaged side is slightly raised above the bike's surface, the damaged sidehas gone right down to the surface.

If it is a lockring, any photos haven't been clear, as I couldn't work outside due to the rain. It could be why the crankset is so hard to get off.

I'm trying not to post in the wrong forum, though I guess having lots of posts aren't helpful either.
