Skipping gear 7 and 8

When i am riding in gear 2 on the left and in 8 on the right my chain keeps skipping or missing (not sure of the right term) when I apply some pressure up a slight incline. It stays in the gear but continues to skip. I hope i have described my problem adequate enough for some advice on what I can do to fix.

Check for alignement of the rear derailleur and also for chain / sprocket wear<br />
