Are Bolts Required When V-Brakes Are Replaced With Disc
#1
[attachment=4905]Just bought a used Mountain bike with Marzocchi 03 Bomber MX Comp forks. The brakes were originally v-brakes but the previous owner switched to disc. There are now no bolts in the holes where the v-brakes were. There's a small sticker on the forks that says, "do not remove bolts securing the brake arch to the slider tubes. Serious injury could occur." Do I need to track down the appropriate bolts to secure this area and prevent fork failure?

It is a good idea to install some M6 bolts/screws in the holes, grease the holes first, and torque tight. This will reduce corrosion build up in there. But you do not need them.
