Converting freewheel to freehub

I have a 6 speed Focus Japanese made Road Bike, with Suntour cyclone 6 speed shifters, derailleurs, and freewheel. Will a 7 speed shimano hg cassette work with the 6 speed components? I have a Shimano HF-RS10
WHEEL HUB TO REPLACE THE WHEEL.

Good you asked some parts just don't like or rather play well with each other. Now from a recent build of a hybrid I can tell you there are a couple things to know about HG (Hyper-Glide) cassettes! If the shifters are indexed, then they have to match the number of sprockets and chainrings. 6 speed shifters with 6 sprocket freewheel/cassette etc., so you can't use a 7 speed cassette with a 6 speed shifter, or vise versa.

The shifters are not indexed.

First of all why are you planing to do this?? You can get a 7 cog freewheel and not deal with complicated re lacing. Measure frame fit carefully to see if the wider cluster will fit. If its a steel frame you can stretch it a bit. If you have friction non indexed shifter it should work fine once dialed in.

On my ancient P.O.S. 3x6 speed (all early SR Suntour non-indexed components) I test fit another modern 7 speed shimano freehub wheel. The rear derailleur would easily adjust out to cover the 7th cog, the thumb shifter would accommodate it also. The rear drop out spread to 130mm with little effort, no cold setting or fuss required.
That is all I checked, I did not try to ride it.
