Can I stick Shimano pedals into a Trutaviv crank?
#1
Hi all

I've spotted some rather nice pedals that i'm after, Shimano M424's and I was wondering if they'll fit into my existing Trutaviv crank. Knowing nothing about bikes I ended up here and would be grateful for any assistance.

Pedals i'm after - http://www.shimano.com/publish/content/global_cycle/en/us/index/products/pedals/mountain/product.-code-PD-M424.-type-.pd_mountain.html

Bike i'm riding - http://www.dahon.com/bikes/2011/jack-d24

The Dahon website indicates the crankset is known as SRAM Truvativ Xflow.

No problem, pretty much all pedals and cranks are compatible with 9/16" threads.

The exception being American one piece cranks like this: http://sheldonbrown.com/opc.html which take very slightly smaller 1/2" threaded pedals.
