It depends where you are located. In the SF Bay Area, the asking price on CL would be around $200- and the transaction price closer to $125-; based on your picture.

From the first post, the Merced has hi-ten steel frame, on that basis it is not very desirable - cro-mo is preferred, with double butted cro-mo or 531 being the premium steel frame materials.
Cro-mo plain guage tubing would add $50 to $100- to the transaction price, and double butted another $100- on top - again based on the picture, and in the SF Bay Area - which is a high priced area for bikes. Go less than a 100 miles to Watsonville, and the prices drop dramatically.
