Slipping/slipped Nexus 7 hub gears
#1
Hello all,

The hub on my Dawes City Vision seems to be knackered. I stupidly left it in the hallway of my house with a couple of bungees hanging from the pannier rack, nipped to the corner shop, and when I came back one of my housemates had pushed it up the hallway for some reason, tangling the bungee cord tightly around the chainring - agh!

Having removed the offending bungee I now find that the gears slip off with the slightest bit of pedal weight on them, although they spin just fine with the bike upside down, making pedaling/riding impossible...is this something that can be fixed with adjustments, or am I going to have to replace the hub?

Thanks,

Mat

check the following;
is the rh track nut loose, allowing the wheel to move under pressure,
has the wheel moved forward, allowing excessive slack in the chain.
is anything bent, the sprocket, the chain?
any debris still lodged behind sprocket or in chain.
has the adjustment moved.
find your hub on this page;http://techdocs.shimano.com/techdocs/index.jsp;jsessionid=l6HcPDFLt1BWFCTJDQpkhGw534ncnw1qnmh0k1CC9JkNLdZ0Dh9x!2008619037
