We've all seen the question 'How much does X bike weigh?' posted all over the 'net and, maybe you have wondered that yourself. Shame on you.
We all know why Mfr's don't publish weights. But, I thought it might be a cool resource if we had a thread that was all about bike weight as an Out-of-Box, built as supplied by the Mfr, reflectors included, Ready for the Sales Floor. Members with new rides, or wrenches at LBS's, anyone with access to a good scale and willing to share info here, please do.
I took the following weights from a Park Tool DS-1 clamped in a stand. All are 2011 model Treks...
ROAD
2011 Trek 2.3 52cm T H2 19 lbs 9 oz
2.1 52cm T H2 20 lbs 5 oz
2.1 54cm T H3 20 lbs 11 oz
1.5 56cm T H2 22 lbs 0 oz
1.2 54cm T H2 22 lbs 0 oz
1.1 60cm C H2 23 lbs 2 oz
Lexa S 50cm T 21 lbs 9 oz

FX 7.3 13" WSD 23 lbs 10 oz
FX 7.2 15" 25 lbs 10 oz
FX 7.2 13.5" WSD 25 lbs 1 oz

Is this usefull info?
