Need a little ROCKSHOX info
#1
Hey everyone ,
Glad to be on your forum........
I have 2 bikes in need of RockShox repair.
I'm guessing a rebuild on both will do .

#1- Mid 90's Mongoose IBOC 26" Here's the forks .
Only word I see on them is magnesium.
Needs new springs and oil.....very spongy...have not been serviced in 15 yrs

mY second bike is my girlfriends Trek with Rockshox (pilot model?) thats the only word I see. Her bike is about 8yrs old and the shocks are seized.
sounds like they need a rebuild.

I am mechanically sound but where do I begin to find the info needed to buy springs, o rings, oil etc for these bikes?

Thanks !!!

My personal opinion is to go rigid. I am not a fan of low end shocks at all

ebay and amazon have the lowest prices.

I purchase a lot of stuff from crosslakesales on ebay, and have always been very pleased.

I have a feeling my magnesiums might just need more air pressure. seem to work fine...just spongy and soft.

ha ha.......I took out those little philips screws .....how the hell do you get those little caps off?
Feel like I'm going to destroy them......
